Gilbert W. Lee, M.D., F.A.C.S.

Known by his patients as an artist and a warm, caring physician, Dr. Gilbert Lee has built an impeccable reputation as one of the areas finest plastic surgeons. Dr. Lee earned his medical degree at the University of California, San Diego. He then went on to receive his surgical training at some of the most prestigious universities, among them Washington University, the birth place of plastic surgery. As a leader in plastic surgery, Dr. Lee has continued to contribute to the field by publishing his advances in leading journals, presenting his work at national conferences, and helping to train medical students and residents at U.C.S.D. Medical Center.

Dr. Lee is triple board certified, including certifications by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery. He is past Chief of Plastic Surgery at Sharp Memorial Hospital, and is a voluntary Assistant Clinical Professor of Plastic Surgery, at U.C.S.D. Medical Center. He has been featured as a plastic surgery expert by the CBS and NBC News, local channels 8, 10, 7/39, 15, and the Union Tribune newspaper. His work has even appeared on the ABC Prime Time Live television show.
